When playing Twisted Wonderland for the first time (or on a new account), players have to play through the tutorial first. The tutorial includes a battle, the playthrough of the first couple chapters of the Prologue, a Ceremonial Robes SR card of the player's choice, and 10 pulls from a Standard-type showcase.

The game starts with a monologue from Crowley, after which a screen with seven figures comes up. Players can switch between these seven figures, each representing one of the dorms at Night Raven College.
Here, the choice doesn't influence which dorm the player gets assigned to. By taking any of the students' hand, players will get that character's Ceremonial Robes SR card as part of their deck.
First Battle[]

After choosing a character, players have to play a battle with unlimited turns. On the player's team, there will be three characters against an unknown overblotted enemy.
The enemy has 99999 HP, thus the player will always lose the battle after a few rounds, no matter what characters are picked to fight.
Prologue[]

Once the battle ends, the game's Prologue starts. After playing (or skipping) the first chapter, players have to proceed with the second chapter which also introduces rhythmic games called twistunes.
Players have to play the first eight chapters to finish the tutorial.
Standard Showcase Pulls[]
Before starting Chapter 8, the game will prompt the player to pull as that's the first chapter with a battle.
The player will have to use up 300 Gems for a tenfold pull that garuantees one standard Dorm Uniform SSR card and two SR cards. The SSR cards' pool only include Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw cards.
Note: the tutorial ten pull can be rerolled as many times as players want to. It's recommended to retry it until the player gets the desired SSR card of their choice. If players want a card that deals strong damage, it's suggested to get either Riddle's or Leona's SSR card.
