Heartslabyul[]
Riddle Rosehearts[]
Trey and Riddle are childhood friends who grew up in the same neighborhood of the Queendom of Roses. Trey was previously soft on Riddle during their time as dormmates, not calling him out or commenting on his behavior. This is due to an incident in their past as children when Trey was scolded by Riddle's mother for five hours straight, giving Trey insight into Riddle's home life. Trey wanted to provide Riddle with the peace he never received at home, but he ended up coddling him. Riddle grew accustomed to this and saw Trey as someone who would always support him without question. Trey frequently enforced rules on Riddle's behalf, almost acting like he was Riddle's henchman rather than his friend.
This changes during the events of Book 1 when Trey finally takes a stand against Riddle, attempting to reason with him. Riddle is too worked up to listen to him, even seeming to view Trey's speaking up as a betrayal. Trey realizes the error of his ways, stating that there are too many things he's left unsaid.[1] Once Riddle returns to his normal state, Trey scolds him for the first time, telling Riddle that he was wrong to act in the ways he did while also acknowledging his suffering. Post Book 1, Trey continues to have a peacemaker role in Riddle's life. In contrast to how passive he was previously, Trey assertively provides guidance, as well as friendship, to Riddle.
Ace Trappola[]
Trey is on friendly terms with Ace. Following their first meeting, knowing that Ace broke a rule, he offers his help to Ace so he could make up for it. He teaches Ace (along with Deuce, MC and Grim) how to bake chestnut tarts.
Cater Diamond[]
Trey and Cater were roommates in the past and seem to be close friends. Trey is one of few that know Cater doesn't actually like sweets that much, as he always asks Trey to use his signature spell to change the taste of his baked sweets to something else. He also feels like Cater doesn't open up to him much about his inner feelings, which he seems to be hurt by, as he notes that maybe Cater just doesn't open up to him specifically. [2]
Octavinelle[]
Jade Leech[]
Initially, Trey believed that Jade to be humble and diligent; someone who is easily influenced by his housewarden and twin's requests or words. As a fellow vice housewarden, Trey felt bad for him and offered his advice. However, after Riddle told Trey to observe Jade's behavior better, he quickly understood that he misjudged Jade, becoming somewhat wary of Jade.[3]
Ignihyde[]
Idia Shroud[]
Trey does not seem to have a very flattering opinion of Idia, comparing him to a child screaming "I don’t wanna’” when you refuse to participate in the event Wish Upon a Star. In a vignette from Vargas' Camp 2, Trey is friendly and happy to learn that Idia originally intended to join the Science Club. However, Idia proves not to be flattered by his interest.
Trey and Idia don't have a lot of overlap outside of the Wish Upon a Star event, despite both being third-year students.
Staff[]
Dire Crowley[]
Like most of the students, Trey seems suspicious of Crowley. During the Wish Upon a Star event, Trey shows doubts about the reliability of Crowley's words regarding the selection of the Stargazer.
Royal Sword Academy[]
Artemiy Artemiyevich Pinker (Che'nya)[]
Che'nya is Trey's childhood friend, and the two of them often went to seek out Riddle's company, wanting to play together with him.
