Be careful you don't burn yourself or anyone else. The blisters can hurt for days. I'm putting a bucket of water right here. Make sure you dunk the fireworks when you're done, even if it looks like they're burned out.
This one shoots out a chartreuse flame. It looks like a broom... How quaint. What's this? It's changing color now. I've never seen a magical artifact that solely alters the color of flame.
Hahaha, it's not magic. It's science. They add certain metals to the fireworks mixture that burn in different colors. Barium makes yellow-green, lithium gets you red, and sodium produces yellow. Not many humans can use magic, so we turn to chemistry for stuff like this.
Yeah, we've done a lot of experiments. The Science Club does more than cook and grow vegetables, you know. We also do research to prep for competitions. There's a lot more work than you'd think.
I'm pretty sure you would've gone over flame tests in class... Anyway, the fireworks in the show will change colors based on the same principle as well. But it's all on a much bigger scale than these sparklers. And a lot more work goes into making them. I hear it can take close to two months to make a single shot.
Haha, maybe. But I personally think it's amazing. So much time and engineering goes into these things that exist solely for the enjoyment of others. I'd argue the fireworks look even more beautiful because of all that craftsmanship.
