A prestigious four-year arcane academy. Its doors are only open to students deemed to possess magical aptitude as determined by a magical artifact called the Dark Mirror.
Night Raven College is an all-boys academy and the main setting of Twisted Wonderland. It is a four-year magic educational institution located on top of a mountain on the north side of the Isle of Sages.
Enrollment[]
Students are only allowed to enroll in this school if they have the potential for being a great magician, a factor which is determined by the Dark Mirror. A black carriage will be sent to personally pick up incoming students, which can even travel underwater.[1] They are kept unconscious in coffins called "Gates" until arriving at the academy. In most cases, they can only be awoken if their Gate is unlocked with a special key[2], however there are exceptions.
All students are given a magical pen upon enrollment. These are fountain pens which hold the user's magic gemstones, and so are also utilized as wands. The color of one's gemstone is determined by which dorm they are in. They are capable of changing form, but so far this has only been shown with the dorm leaders.
Dark Mirror[]
The Dark Mirror is a magical mirror that sorts the new students into one of the seven dorms based on the nature of the student's soul and essence of their being. It can only sort students who possess magical powers. While it's possible to transfer dorms, it's a complicated process and requires a new ritual.
History[]
According to a legend in Twisted Wonderland, there once lived grand beings in this world collectively called The Great Seven. Each of the seven dormitories at Night Raven College are modeled after one of these Great Seven, and upon entering the school, students are sorted into these dorms.

There is a dorm that is not part of the seven main dormitories:
- Ramshackle, a dorm that has been abandoned and occupied by ghosts.
Night Raven College also has a sports rivalry with Royal Sword Academy, another prestigious school for mages that other magically-gifted students (such as Che'nya and Neige attend. For the past 99 years, RSA has beaten NRC at the annual Inter-School Spelldrive Tournament.
School Life[]
Freshman classes focus more on classroom-based learning rather than actually training their magic.[3] Seniors are said to spend most of their final year off-campus, receiving outside education; they don't return to campus until the cultural festival in February.[4] Because of this, seniors are unable to participate in a majority of school events until their return.[5] Every year, there are always a couple of dropouts or students who have to repeat a grade. However, there have been no such cases for Heartslabyul after Riddle became the housewarden of that dorm.
Known Rules[]
- It is against rules to bring an untrained familiar.
- Students can't use magic in fights, unless supervised by a teacher.
- Students can't use their Signature spells during classes.
Uniforms[]
Night Raven College has different sets of uniforms/outfit requirements depending on the class or occasion.[6]

The uniform consists of a dark grey jacket and pants, a white shirt and a vest that matches the color of the wearer's dorm. There's also a ribbon tied around the left arm in the dorm's colors, with the dorm's emblem attached to it. The magical pen can be placed in the chest pocket. There's also a pair of black gloves that some students wear. |
| PE Uniform | Worn for classes where students exercise, such as flight and physical education. The uniform itself is a black jumpsuit which has the school's emblem badge sewn on the chest area. It also has the student's seat number. At the knees and elbows, there's a fastener inside that can be detached. The t-shirts worn under the jumpsuit are in the dorms' respective colors; the t-shirts have the dorm's logo on the chest and the dorm's name on the left arm sleeve. |
| Labwear | Worn for alchemy and potions classes. It's a simple white coat worn over the school uniform (with the vest and jacket removed), a pair of long, black rubber gloves and a pair of safety goggles. The coat has cross buttons and napoleon collar. The magical pen can be placed inside the chest pocket, which has a stripe colored with dorm colors. The dorm emblem is on the left arm of the coat. |
| Ceremonial Robes | A formal ceremonial outfit worn for different situations, such as entrance or reward ceremonies, or as representatives of the school in other places. It is custom to wear the hood during the ceremony. The black robes have a purple belt with the school emblem being on the center of the gold buckle. The robes' cuffs have golden embroidery in the image of the Mirror of Darkness. Its back embroidery in the image of crow’s tail wings. The hood is slightly pointed in the back. Under the robes, students wear a black shirt that has golden embroidery on the collarbone area in the image of crow’s wings. The sleeves have a ring for the middle finger to pass through. For this uniform, students also wear black eye makeup. |

Additionally, according to Yana Toboso, NRC has summer school uniforms and designated winter coats for the students.[6]
School Clubs[]
The school has various clubs that students can choose from and become members of. It seems that there's no minimum number of members needed in order to run a club, as some clubs have only one member. It's unknown if it's required for every student to be part of a club, but so far there isn't any known character who wouldn't be a member of one.

| Film Research Club | The club was started by Vil when he was a freshman, and they started organizing club activities in his sophomore year. Those who want to act are required to audition in order to join the club and anyone can join to do backstage work. It's said that the club is shorthanded on everything but actors. Vil often enlists help from outside of the club, like his fellow Pomefiore dorm members or he pays physically adept athletes to help with building sets. He also borrows Kalim's flying carpet for aerial camera work. There are around 10 members, most of them being students from Pomefiore.[11] |

| Science Club | The club activities include plant cultivation, chemistry experiments - even cooking, as Trey develops new recipes here.[12] Its broad range of activities have earned it the unofficial title of "Whatever Club".[13] The club is mentioned to be crowded with members.[14] |

| Pop Music Club | Members of this club mostly use the clubroom to hang out, relax and chat. Music is a secondary aspect of it, and it's said that they don't compose their own songs but rather just cover existing ones.[15]The club doesn't have a schedule or routine. Because the music room is reversed for another club, members of this club use a classroom for their club activities.[16] Cater, Kalim and Lilia are in a band together and they perform at live shows. There are previous members of the club who split because of musical differences.[17] |

| Board Game Club | It's said the club has a small number of members[14], which includes Azul and Idia. The club's activity isn't limited to playing board games, as Idia also develops technomantic games. One of his inventions is called VR Magical Dice which is played by using technomantic goggles, entering a world of virtual reality through them.[18] Though Ortho isn't an official member, he seems to take part in the club with his brother. |  Azul Idia

| Mountain Lover Club | The club was started by Jade and he's the only member. He spends his club activites with mountain walks, discovering, observing and taking photos of wild plants, animals, and the scenery.[19] The club classifies as an "arts" club, as according to Jade, hiking isn't the primary activity. Rather, the club's main goal is to appreciate the mountains' bounty, along with their edible plants and mushrooms.[20] |  Jade

Mister S's Mystery Shop[]
Mister S's Mystery Shop is run by Sam and students can come in and buy just about anything from a simple snack to a charm that prevents cheating[23]. The shop sells unique/rare items that are said to be hard or almost impossible to obtain, such as fairy dust[24] or icicle mushrooms[25].
While it's rare that the shop is out of stock of any item[26], there are occassions when it happens, like running out of detergents one time.[27]
Trivia[]
- The design of the Gates is supposed to signify "parting from the other world and being reborn anew."
- The school has vending machines with drink cans.[28]
- In Book 4, a character mentions reaching the edge of a dorm's "dimension". This implies that all seven dorms do not take up space in the real world, but rather in small pocket dimensions that mimic different environments.[29] The farthest edges of said dimensions appear to be dark and desolate.
- The wishing well in the courtyard is modeled after the wishing well in the Beautiful Queen’s castle.
