They have a normal student-teacher relationship, but Trein tends to scold MC to behave like a worthy student at the esteemed Night Raven College, even though they does not have magic. Although MC and Grim did not enroll through the regular procedures, he treats both like all the other students in his class. From Trein's voice lines, it is clear that MC may have a somewhat forward shamelessness toward him.[1]
Grim[]
In sharp contrast to Trein's very rigid and strict personality, Grim is his antithesis: lazy, selfish, and the habit of falling asleep at his classes or preferring to skip them. According to Grim, Trein's classes are very boring (which is why he always falls asleep) and Lucius, his familiar, always tends to annoy him when he misbehaves.
Savanaclaw[]
Ruggie Bucchi[]
They have a good relationship, reinforced by the fact that Ruggie is very proficient in Animal Linguistics; a subject of Trein's. Because Lucius, Trein's familiar, often plays a supporting role in animal linguistics classes he ended up meeting Ruggie with whom he has formed a solid relationship of doing favors for tuna. However, once, Lucius showed him the way to a field of blooming dandelions, just out of kindness.

Ortho Shroud[]
Tren is very patient with Ortho, often spending time together playing board games and reading books in the school library. According to Ortho, if he had a grandfather, he would be very similar to Trein.

Dire Crowley[]
Contrary to Crowley, Trein feels a very strong sense of responsibility towards the students and is willing to protect them whenever necessary.
In addition to his students, Trein is also very strict with the Headmage if he makes a mistake and does not hesitate to reprimand him.[2] In any case, there is a respect and trust deep enough between them that Trein is allowed, by Crowley, to run the college when he is arrested by S.T.Y.X. This could imply that Trein is second in command after the Headmage.
Divus Crewel[]
He doesn't get along very well with Crewel, but there is respect between them. In Glorious Masquerade he entrusts him with the care of Lucius. Additionally, the two found ground in playing chess together and arguing about the merits of cats over dogs and vice versa.
According to Sam, Trein is very conservative and maybe that's why he doesn't get along with Crewel.
Ashton Vargas[]
While he agrees with Vargas's teaching method, Trein would prefer that he refrain from using the whistle so often. Vargas recognizes Trein's authority; in Beanfest event (together with Crowley) he decides to back down when he proves too enthusiastic, unlike Trein.
They are from the same hometown.
Sam[]
Trein relies on Sam when he goes to his shop in search of toys and food to take care of Lucius. According to him, Sam has a certain sixth sense for what would benefit his customers most since he relies on him to search for a facial soap that would improve his skin. [3]
