The Main Character (shortened as MC) of Twisted Wonderland is the player's character. Their default name is Yuu, but the name can be changed by the player. Other characters often refer to them as "Prefect". Their gender is ambiguous and are referred to with gender neutral pronouns by other characters.
Story
MC wakes up in one of the black coffins, having little memories of how they arrived at Night Raven College, along with having nothing to identify themselves with. They also do not possess any magic like the other students in Twisted Wonderland. The magic mirror remarks that MC is "empty."
MC is enrolled in Night Raven College with Grim as one student and lives in Ramshackle Dorm.
Appearances
The appearance of MC is steeped with mystery. It is said from some characters described them "skinny" arms and have much shorter legs than Vil. Which could be connected to Floyd's nickname "Shrimp" and he himself claims that they are much smaller than him.
Not explicitly stated, but it is conceivable that his height is around a small-medium size or less than 1.80 cm, counted by the fact that they aren't selected as "grooms" for the Phantom Bride event.
However, its physiology (and other characteristics) are all up to the player. While it was never specified whether it was addressed to MC or Grim, Crewel notes that they might have an "unusual coat", referring to their hair.
It is conceivable but not necessarily true that MC is a teenager (or in their late teens), since Crowley (or other characters) don't give evidence that they're too young or adult, even if their exact age is not specified.
Personality
Their personality is not well defined, and can vary depending on the choices made by the player.
However they have a gift when it comes to dealing with the students of Night Raven College, and are able to form strong ties with even the most controversial personalities.
According to quotes from the various characters, they are known for their foolhardiness, sauciness and their propensity to get into all sorts of trouble - although it is almost never their direct cause - but do everything to stay and help others, even though they don't have the skills to resolve the situation.
They could be a very adaptable and resilient soul, given their “ultra-dimensional” situation, as well as having remarkable perseverance. Their unwavering perseverance, in fact, has been a constant companion throughout their journeys across multiple singularities. This was evidenced by their attempt to cope with every Overblot, without ever running away, demonstrating their courage in the face of danger.
In general, MC is a “serious and calm” person and, perhaps due to his lack of magical aptitude, they lacked the arrogant pride displayed by most mages of the Nigth Raven College. Which might be why they are able to get students to unite and collaborate, when it comes to fighting together. This ties into their reputation as the "Beastmaster" by Crowley, although at the moment this role does not seem to be in any way linked to anything of relative importance in the story.[1]
Although some notice a more naive and absent-minded personality, others note their discipline, righteousness and earnestness of a normal person who strives to do their best. MC proves to be able to show kindness and compassion to anyone and apologize for their actions, even if their former enemies.[2]
Since their debut, though, demonstrate an attitude of keeping calm coolness in elaborating strategies, a composure that was repeatedly used throughout the entire narrative arc. In general, its role seems more that of a spectator who takes responsibility for the cure of directing Grim who it follows to often get in his trouble at school. Perhaps linked to their role as an "observer" rather than a real protagonist, MC displays very little sign of stress despite having been thrust into another planet and rarely shows any desire to return home.
However, in Book 7, they seems to want to complete their 'journey' and willing to try to fight for that future even against impossible odds even if this means leaving Twisted Wonderland forever.
After Book 5, MC has shown a sense of powerlessness at times, if not frustration at not being able to do almost anything for their friends.
While the game sometimes give the option to choose between dialouge options for MC, and therefore their personality is player controlled to some extent, other characters have pointed out certain traits and characteristics of MC:
- Azul has mentioned that they don't have a beautiful singing voice.[3]
- Jamil has teased them for being a messy eater. [4]
- Idia considers them to be an introvert like him. [5]
- Grim has said that MC can be “scary” when they finally get serious.
- They do not mind invading others' personal spaces, being very handsy and comfortable in interacting or touching someone.
- They may be afraid of insects. [6]
- Others have described them as a mix of cheeky, blunt, naïve and/or someone who goes with the flow.
Background
As a self-insert for the player, MC has very few background details or connections to other people or events. They are simply "someone who just woke up in a coffin and ended up in another world".
MC appears to come from an Earth-like world, given their dialogue options have referenced things like American football [7] and traditional Japanese holidays such as 'Tanabata'. [8]
Skill
Their skills as a mage they are null because they have no magical power. The most prominent and unique magical skill displayed by MC (although it wouldn't seem the case) it is their ability to be able to see the history of the Great Seven through their dreams, revealing itself as a sort of omen for future events. It is theorized to stem from the influence of the mirror hanging above the fireplace, who is also able to contact Mickey, a creature from another world and shares the same fate of having unusual dreams when sleeping.
Despite being considered an average human, depending on the choice made by the player, MC could have a remarkable variety of skills and talents. In physical terms, MC seems fairly athletic where they exercise regularly with Vargas' hard training and is capable of be able to resist their own a long, tiring military-diplomatic campaign, and is tough enough to survive during the fight against the Overblots. Often play basketball with Ace, are chosen to make the final run for the harp during Beanfest, and are possibly good at surfing. Silver notes a certain aptitude and talent for the sword.[9]
They might have talent for wind instruments, as play a trumpet well enough to win a prize and able to play the flute.[10]
Magical tools
Yuu owns an old magical device, given by Crowley, called the Ghost Camera. The camera can take a picture of anything possessing a soul, using a fragment to create “moving” pictures that jump from the camera.
MC often uses it to take pictures around school and during events and sometimes acting as an interviewer or record-keeper for the Headmage. They once conducted interviewer for the NRC School Newspaper in the Birthday Boy vignette stories. This may have sparked an interest in photography as MC enters a photo contest at Port Fest and wins a prize. [11]
Trivia
- Their default name, Yuu, is a play on the word "you."
- In Japanese, a cutscene in Book 4 will render the protagonist's name as "ユウ (You)" if their name is left as the default. If the player changes the protagonist's name, the "You" will not display after their name.
- It is speculated that his name is connected to Yūrei (幽霊), which is a direct way to connect to the Yuu of the official manga serialization who have the particularity of all having surnames related to the afterlife to based on Buddhist-Japanese and Japanese mythology.
- Yuuken Enma (Book of Heartslabyul) with to the King Enma.
- Yuuka Hirasaka (Book of Savanaclaw) with to the Yomotsu-hira Saka.
- Yuuta Mito (Book of Octavinelle) with to the River Mito or River of Three Crossings.
- Yuuna Oujou (Book of Scarabia) to the term Ōjō like Ōjō gokuraku.
- They were already wearing the ceremonial robes when they arrived at Night Raven College.[12]
- According to the Headmage, the pictures taken by the Ghost Camera are able to 'move' and were used by people in the days before video existed.
- They're the only character to not make an appearance in the game's anniversary trailers. This is likely attributed to their status as a featureless protagonist. In their stead, the events that occurred throughout the year are shown to have taken place from Grim’s perspective.
- In the novel adaptation, a character named Yuuya Kuroki fills the role of the protagonist.

Yuuken Enma is an original character and protagonist of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga - Book of Heartslabyul. He is a second-year student of Hibari Municipal High School and vice-captain of the kendo club in his original world.
Appearances
Yuuken is a tall and rather handsome young man with black hair and dark eyes. During his time at Night Raven College, he's seen wearing his Hibari Municipal High School uniform, which consists of a green blazer, a white collared shirt, and blue navy tie, black and white checked pants and white sneakers.
He is considered very tall and muscular by various characters, including Crowley.
Personality
Yuuken is a determined, responsible, thoughtful young man. He has a habit of helping anyone he sees having a difficult time, even putting himself in danger, such as when he rushes to push Riddle away, using his body to shield him from Grim's attacks.
Yuuken has a certain desire to help people realize their dreams and feels a sort of weakness towards those who show an iron determination for their fulfillment, as seen with Grim making him remember his schoolmate Koito.
He has an open mind, given that he quickly gets used to the existence of magic, nor has he been scared at the sight of ghosts, on the contrary, he is thrilled to be able to see them even without magic much to their bewilderment.[1]
He has a sincere talent for uniting people, as shown in the mine with Ace, Deuce, and Grim or in his original world when he unites enough members to join his kendo club. In addition to this, Yuuken shows enthusiasm and encourages other people, giving them advice or support in times of need.[2]
He has a strong moral code and, regardless of the person and their conduct, treats everyone equally, almost never showing fear. This strength is consolidated in moments of crisis: in the mine, for example, or when Leona tries to kick him.
However, Yuuken is not exempt from more adolescent behavior, such as watching anime.
Background
Not much is known about his life before Night Raven College. He was the vice-captain of his kendo club at a school in Tokyo and was able to gather new members, so that they would later be chosen to participate in their first official match in years. The NRC carriage arrived to pick him up late one evening while he was waiting for the bus after he had helped a classmate train for an upcoming race.
Initially hired as a handyman, Yuuken was later brought in as a student alongside Grim and becomes the Prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. Due to him not having magic, Yuuken is considered half a student, and Grim is considered his other half. Yuuken is given the Ghost Camera by Crowley to supervise Grim and document his life at Night Raven College without paperwork. Yuuken joins class 1-A, the same class as Ace and Deuce, and attends lessons alongside them.
Skill
Despite being the only student without magical powers, Yuuken can handle himself and be useful to his friends. Yuuken was the vice-captain of the kendo club before being transferred to Twisted Wonderland and is obviously very skilled. He's also very passionate, having used kendo terms before hitting Grim or directing Ace and Deuce into a fight.
In addition to this, he follows a training that allows him not only to practice kendo but to have excellent physical prowess and resistance, which is shown when he completes 20 laps and 100 push-ups without sweating. He himself claims to train regularly. His swordsmanship is skilled enough to defeat Riddle Overblot in single combat.
Like all Yuu, he has the curious ability to see the history of the Great Seven in his dreams.

Trivia
- His given name "Yuuken" (雄 剣) contains the kanji for "hero/male" and "sword". While his last name "Enma" comes from the Japanese name of one of the Buddhist deities who rules in hell, who is also the judge of the afterlife.
- So far, Yuuken is the only Yuu who does not wear Night Raven College uniform.
- Unlike Yuu of the game and Yuuya Kuroki from the light novel, who arrived at Twisted Wonderland without any personal items, Yuuken had with him not only his school uniform, but also his Kendo training bag, an old phone and his wallet.
- He didn't wear ceremonial clothes when he arrived at Night Raven College.
- While the exact reaction of the other Yuus to the ceremony is unknown, Yuuken is the only one character who arbitrarily refuses to join the school. Yuu from the game and Yuuya from the novel, in fact, attend and are rejected by the Dark Mirror.

Yuuka Hirasaka is an original character and protagonist of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga - Book of Savanaclaw. She is a second-year student of an all-girl school and a member of the Judo club in her original world.
Appearance
Yuuka is shown as a young girl with short black hair and bright brown eyes with a small scar on the right of her forehead. She also has a tall, slim and well-trained physique.
In her current time at Night Raven College she wears the standard uniform of all the other students, but is also seen in various flashbacks wearing a tracksuit as well as a white judo uniform.
Personality
Yuuka appears to be a quiet, serious and decent girl, but also sociable who gets along well with both her judo classmates and the boys at Night Raven College. She is also a responsible person and very determined to achieve her goals, whatever they may be, but nevertheless, she seems to lack patience.
Yuuka seems to follow a policy in which, rather than judging a man by his appearance or words, his actions are what matters most. She is neither violent nor impetuous in nature but tends never to back down for a direct confrontation if provoked. If required by the situation, though, she prefers to use negotiation as a solution to her problems.[2]
While her impassive and cold expression can contradict her, she shows an irreverent side to her more stoic facade: the night she meets Malleus for the first time, in fact, she cannot help but think, not very impressed by his attitude, who there were a lot of "weirdos" in that school.
She appreciates points such as honesty and people who value hard work. Yuuka also has a soft heart, which is revealed when she attempts to rescue a stray cat.
Although Yuuka is a proud person and possesses high self-esteem, she cares about others, even if the people involved are not her friends. This proud side of her, however, makes her very reckless of her own security and, perhaps, even goes as far as to overestimating her abilities.
This was evident both when she was willing to fight alone against members of the Savanaclaw Dorm. Or when she threw herself headlong toward Leona in fury as he hurt Ruggie. [3]
She seems to have a soft spot for animals. In addition, she may be a bit naive, as she tends not to see the downsides of the proposal made by Crowley nor to suspect that it may be a lie.
Background
Not much is known about her life, other than that Yuuka was a member of Judo club at her all-girls school in Tochigi. After her match, she saw a stray cat getting soaked in the rain.
She attempts to keep the cat from getting wet, but it runs off. Suddenly, she gets run over by a black carriage and gets transported to Night Raven College where she meets Grim and the other dorm leaders.
Although devoid of magic and a way to return to his world, her special circumstances allow Yuuna to stay in the Ramshackle Dorm with Grim and assume the position of Prefect.
She is assigned to Class 1-A along with Ace and Deuce, taking classes with them. Later she becomes involved in problematic situations because of the Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw dorms.
Skill
She has a black belt in judo and is very skilled, as she manages to spin her opponent. According to her profile in the Savanaclaw Volume 1 episode, Special Content, she can do judo flips to someone twice her size. She defeats Jack with a judo flip even though he is taller and stronger than her.[4]
She tends to train whenever she can.[5] Like all Yuu, she has the curious ability to see the history of the Great Seven in his dreams.

Yuuta Mito is an original character and protagonist of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga - Book of Octavinelle. He was a food deliverer who worked part-time at his father's restaurant in his original world.
Appearance
Yuuta appears as a young boy shorter than Ace and Deuce with a chubby appearance with black hair and kind eyes.
After transferring to Night Raven College, he wears the school's standard jacket over his shirt along with school pants. The kanji on his shirt, “満福軒” (Manpuku-Ken), was the name of his father's Chinese restaurant.
Besides his Night Raven College uniform, Yuuta may still have his old work clothes. He has a large food delivery container with the logo of his father's restaurant.
Personality
In contrast to Yuuka and Yuuken's more serious and stoic expressions, Yuuta demonstrates a great deal of facial expression.
It has a cheerful, kind and hard-working character, as well as a generous side as he shares the food he prepares with his friends. He is also inclined to joke and commit mischievous actions, as well as furious, intimidating outbursts when he sees acts that lack integrity toward food.
However he is intimidated quite easily by threats as seen with the Leech twins, Jade and Floyd, and Crowley. He loves his friends and often shows concern for them.
Although he doesn't seem particularly shrewd, he has good enough intuition to enable him to see the trick of Azul's magical contracts. This flash of cunning impresses both Leona and Ruggie.
Yuuta is deeply grateful to his father for raising him as a single parent, and he helps him every day in the family restaurant.
Background
Not much is known about his past, other than that he worked part-time in his father's restaurant. During a scooter delivery, he crashed into the ebony carriage of Night Raven College.
Discovering that he is in another world, Twisted Wonderland, in addition to being incapable of using magic and due to other circumstances, is allowed to become a student with Grim and Prefect of the Ramshackle Dorm. He later becomes involved in the troubles of Heartslabyul, Savanaclaw and Octavinelle by their respective Housewardens.
Currently Yuuta is worried about his father managing their restaurant without him. Because of this, Yuuta is constantly thinking about wanting to go home as soon as possible.
Skill
Unlike Yuuken and Yuuka, Yuuta is shown to have no sporting ability. He loves to cook and Grim is the one who loves his cooking the most.[1] His skills with food are expert enough to allow him to stay in Savanaclaw when Leona challenges him to prepare food to buy his place.
He has a license to drive a scooter and do his delivery job.[1] Like all Yuu, he has the curious ability to see the history of the Great Seven in his dreams.

Trivia
- Yuuta is the first Yuu to work a part-time job.
- He is also the first Yuu whose family (his father) was shown in the series. Yuu, Yuuken and Yuuka’s family have yet to be mentioned. Only Yuuya from the light novel mentioned a father and mother.
- His given name "Yuuta" (宥太) contains the kanji for "sweetness/superiority" and "thickness/large". His last name "Mito" uses the same kanji as 三 途川, and comes from the "River of Three Crossings", a mythological river the souls of the deceased must cross by one of three crossing points.
- He has a canvas bag with Sam's shop logo.[1]
- He didn't wear ceremonial clothes when he arrived at Night Raven College.

Oujou Yuuna is an original character and protagonist of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga - Book of Scarabia. She was a high school student and an inspiring model in the original world.
Appearance
Yuuna is a young girl with long wavy bleached hair and dyed streaks held in a side tail on the right side by a colorful scrunchie. She has a petite, slim but fit figure and tanned skin.
Just like Yuuken, she prefers to wear clothes from her world and is seen wearing a cardigan with a white collared shirt and striped tie, a leopard scarf, long black pants (sometimes) under a pleated mini-skirt, knee-length white socks, and loafers. She also wears makeup, false eyelashes, light lipstick, long reconstructed nails, a necklace and hoop earrings.
During her stay in Scarabia, keeps her cardigan tied at the waist, shirt sleeves rolled up, and sports shorts under her skirt.
When Crowley gives away her smartphone as a gift, she decides to adorn it with a fashionable case, full of glitter and a feline silhouette reminiscent of Grim tied to a beaded centering and now kept on her as a shoulder bag.
Personality
She has a very outgoing, sociable, and energetic personality. Yuuna has a great interest in fashion, especially gyaru fashion, and cares about her appearance and beauty.
She tends to get along with everyone, although she is shown to feel a bit pressured by Jade and Floyd. Yuuna doesn't have a good memory for names, especially complex ones, so she tends to give nicknames to all the characters.
She may have trouble picking up double entendres/hidden meanings or flirting in general, as seen with Ace when they exchange Magicam IDs.[1] Similar to Grim, Yuuna hasn't shown great intellectual abilities. According to Ace, she and Grim are simpletons.
However, Yuuna shown to have good intuition as she quickly senses that getting involved with Scarabia's Dorm is synonymous of trouble. In fact she doesn't like to get involved in affairs that don't concern her, also mindful of past Overblots. She tries to return to Ramshackle Dorm several times, but is always stopped by the intervention of Jamil or members of the Scarabia Dorm.[2]
In any case, Yuuna tends to enjoy her experiences to the fullest, such as taking selfies with anyone who catches her eye, diving into the water oasis created by Kalim's UM and wearing jewelry from the Scarabia warehouse without a care in the world.
Background
Not much is known about her life before the events of the story, except that she comes from a farming family, and while she was willing to help her family with the rice paddies, her aspirations lie elsewhere. Her dream was to became a Tokyo model for the gyaru magazines, that she loves so much.
To her delight, she had recently found out that had passed the first round of the gyazu model audition, taking a step closer to realizing her dream. However, one day, while leaving school and intending to travel to the second round of auditions in Tokyo, Yuuna was run over by the ebony carriage of Night Raven College.
When she wakes up, she finds herself in Twisted Wonderland and unable to return to her home world. Although devoid of magic, her special circumstances allow Yuuna to stay in the Ramshackle Dorm while assuming the position of Prefect, student and supervisor of Grim.
She joins class 1-A, the same class as Ace and Deuce, and attends classes with them. Later becomes involved in the various problems of Heartslabyul, Savanaclaw, Octavinelle and currently Scarabia.
Skill
She hasn't shown any particular physical abilities, other than a high stamina thanks to her background working in her family's rice fields. However, Yuuna may feel uncomfortable about having worked in the fields, since she lies and says she has done light workouts in the past. [3]
Like all Yuu, she has the curious ability to see the history of the Great Seven in her dreams.

Trivia
- Before she got her smartphone from Crowley, she used the Ghost Camera to take pictures but found it uncomfortable.
- Beyond its introduction with Yuuken, the Ghost Camera has not been mentioned or seen again (although, in the latter case, it does not happen with Yuuna either).
- The break of her new phone never occurred in the canon events of the game. In the game it is simply sequestered during her time in confinement in Scarabia.
- Beyond its introduction with Yuuken, the Ghost Camera has not been mentioned or seen again (although, in the latter case, it does not happen with Yuuna either).
- In the manga, Crowley magically makes his phone appear. This is the second time the Headmage has been seen performing a spell. The first instance was revealed in Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Manga - Book of Heartslabyul with another protagonist, Enma Yuuken.
- When she went to school in her world, Yuuna wore her skirt below her knees following the dress code of Japanese schools.
- It is unknown if she was wearing her school uniform or the NRC robe when she first came to Twisted Wonderland. But it is implied that it could be her uniform.
- She is the first Yuu who is neither involved in club activities or working part time like the previous Yuus. Although she does help out her family with farming, but does not work as a part time job.
- She is the first Yuu to wear a skirt, since Yuuka prefers the male uniform of Night Raven College.
- Yuuna seems to like leopard print, since in her original world she owned both a jumpsuit and a dress in addition to his makeup bag with this print.
- Yuuna's way of dressing is related to gyaru culture, in particular, is a substyle called kogal or kogyaru (子ギャル or コギャル). The 子 or コ (ko) in kogyaru means “child,” referring to the childishness or youthfulness of those who typically wear this fashion. It is defined by those who wear clothes resembling Japanese high school uniforms with alterations and flairs made to them.
- Her given name "Yuuna", contains the kanji for "tie" or "join" (結), and "vegetable" (菜). While her last name "Oujou", is composed of the kanji for "meeting" (逢) and the kanji for "life" (生).
- It shares the same pronunciation with 往生 (ōjō) or 往生際 (oujougiwa) which means "rebirth in another world", "a calm and peaceful death, "to breathe one's last", and/or "the moment before death/the brink of death".
- It could be a reference to the Japanese Buddhist term "gokuraku" (往生極楽, rebirth in the land of supreme bliss). Or 绝处逢生 (jué chù féng shēng), which means "a narrow escape from death", as it shares the same characters as those used in the second half of the Chinese idiom.

Yuuya Kuroki is an original character and protagonist of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Novel. In his original world, he was an average high school student in Japan.
Appearances
There is no clear definition of his appearance, but he is described as having short black hair, a height similar to Deuce and Ace and "utterly average" features, however his dark brown eyes are a bit rounder than average.
Personality
Yuuya has a shy, anxious and reserved personality, who focuses on living a life with little to no conflict. This extends as far as avoiding forming friendships, since the deeper your bond with someone, the more likely you are to clash. In order to avoid potential differences in opinion, Yuuya thought it was best to uphold a moderate distance from everyone.
He struggles with confrontation, and is having difficulty handling the lifestyle at Night Raven College where he ends up witnessing or getting involved in many fights from the start. Yuuya has avoided so many things in his life that he has even avoided having any real hobbies, or even anything that he’s wanted to do just because spirations cause friction. If something becomes non-negotiable, he believes that may clash with others and have to fight to protect it one day. Yuuya envies the bold personalities of Deuce and Grim, since they seem to not care about the opinions others may have of them. He wishes to stand up for others and stop fights, but his cowardice prevents him from doing so, a trait that he hates.
After Riddle's conflict, Yuuya, however, realizes that perhaps having prioritized his principles over friendship may be a much more self-centered person than he himself believed.
To his surprise, Ace considers him a stubborn person, but he doesn't consider it a negative trait. On the other hand, Deuce considers Yuuya a bit dramatic.
Background
Not much is known about Yuuya's past, other than that he was a calm child from a young age and had a quiet and carefree childhood, spending most of his time at home without any hobbies, passions or friends.
He had been in high school for about six months when, on his way home after school, he ends up stopping at a traffic light that almost never turned red. This was his first time waiting at this particular pedestrian crossing, that was rare passable even for bicycles or cars to take.
He himself was reflecting on the strangeness that had driven him to travel that stretch of road, when crossing the road he heard an incessant rumbling, like something hard rolling along the ground and the sound of a breath passing through trembling lips. Immediately afterward he has no idea what happened to him because the next thing he knew was waking up in a coffin at the Night Raven College orientation.
Rejected by the Mirror of Darkness for his lack of magic powers, Yuuya soon discovers he is in another world called Twisted Wonderland. Without the possibility of returning home, Yuuya is hired as a janitor and Grim's supervisor by Crowley in exchange of food and lodging. During his first night at Night Raven College, he has a dream where his original school carries on as usual, with his classmates forgetting his existence.
He is later involved in several troubles, which eventually lead him to take on the role of Prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. Due to him not having magic, Yuuya is considered half a student, and Grim is considered his other half.
Obtaining the Ghost Camera to supervise Grim, Yuuya joins class 1-A, the same class as Ace and Deuce, and attends lessons alongside them.
Due to his unique circumstances, Yuuya experiences a great deal of hostility and snide comments from the students before getting involved with Heartslabyul's problems.
After his involvement with the Overblot of Riddle, it seems that a considerable number of students view him as a rival because of the rumors that point to him as "special". Although he denies it, Ace and Deuce reassure him that he's slowly adapting to Night Raven College.
Currently he is busy with assignments every day, but still feels fulfilled. However, this does not change his desire to go home.
Skill
He is shown to have no particular talent, skill, or passion, but like all Yuu's, he has the curious ability to see the history of the Great Seven in his dreams.
Somehow he can speak and write in a language other than his native tongue.
Trivia
- Who or what brought Yuuya to Twisted Wonderland is currently unknown, since the boy cannot remember almost nothing of what happened to him.
- Nor does he remember the subsequent dreams he had, before he woke up in the coffin.
- Yuuya has no desire to do magic or become a great mage. In fact, he misses his parents and wishes to find a way to return home.
- Yuuya realizes that he does not speak the same language as the inhabitants of Twisted Wonderland. According to him, he is somehow “translating” his Japanese thoughts into an unfamiliar language.
- Mainly since Crowley couldn't correctly pronounce Yuya's name, including the name of the country he came from, Nihon, Japan.
- This problem doesn't exist in the game or manga.
- It is not known whether this ability is unique to Yuuya or is a characteristic spell that is common to many people.
- This problem doesn't exist in the game or manga.
- Mainly since Crowley couldn't correctly pronounce Yuya's name, including the name of the country he came from, Nihon, Japan.
- Due to difficulty pronouncing his name, Yuuya is often called 'Yuu'.
- To a certain small extent, the teachers seem to care about Yuuya, for example by recommending books to him to keep up with the studies of his peers.
- Unlike all other adaptations (manga and game), the Ghosts of Ramshackle have a more significant role in the novel. For example, keeping Yuuya company or offering information and advice.
- Like his life or physical appearance, his school grades were average.
- In his former world he never joined in on any pre-class interactions.
- In the novel The Usurper from the Wilds, Yuuya and Grim have to choose the same club because they are considered a single student, but Grim's stubborn nature earned him the rejection of both councilors and members of any clubs they visited. On Crewel's suggestion, together they form the "Gourmet Research Club".
