Ramshackle[]
MC[]
As with most characters, Lilia is friendly with MC. He's also grateful to them for treating Malleus like a friend and not fearing him like many other students do.
Heartslabyul[]
Ace Trappola[]
Lilia and Ace often interact during events, showing that they have similar personalities when it comes to joking and teasing their peers. However, Ace does not always show that he takes things in jest, as seen at the final party of the Spectral Soiree event. Here Lilia goes so far as to tease him and incite him to vent his frustrations, which Ace promptly addresses to Malleus. Both Lilia and Malleus are surprised by his audacity.
Lilia often treats him like a child as inferred from a voice line where he throws a candy to Ace while talking to Sebek.[1]
Deuce Spade[]
He and Deuce didn't have much interaction, yet Lilia is friendly with him and inclined to joke around.
In Book 7, Lilia approached him and Ace to ask them to intervene if they ever noticed that Sebek failed to strike up any friendships, showing a degree of trust in him.
Cater Diamond[]
Lilia and Cater have demonstrated a friendly relationship, which sees them playing musical instruments together, taking photos, joking, and giving each other advice. In addition to both being in the Pop Music club with Kalim, he and Cater (along with Vil) joined the “Refining Poisons” elective class with very similar motivations.
Savanaclaw[]
Leona Kingscholar[]
Lilia doesn't despise Leona, although it is more than implied that he does not have a flattering view of him.On the contrary, Leona is very explicit about his antagonism and hatred, claiming in the Cloudcalling event that Lilia's agility gives him the creeps.[2] While Leona repeatedly insults Malleus to his face, Lilia is more than happy with the interaction between the two boys.
In Book 2, Lilia plays some role in compromising Leona's plan and what happens after. But it's only in Book 7 that the two interact face to face again after the drama, with Leona ready “for an ambush”.
Later, Lilia claims to have his own regrets, wishing that he had shown more maturity and suggests that they call it water under the bridge, having long since gotten over what happened at the Spelldrive tournament.
Ruggie Bucchi[]
They have not had many interactions, as Ruggie avoids as much as possible any interaction with Diasmonia members. But in his own way, Lilia shows that he's fond of Ruggie, inviting him to come to his dormitory or following him during Spectral Soiree's Halloween party because it is very pleasant to see him eat and says that Ruggie's culinary adventures intrigue him.
Octavinelle[]
Azul Ashengrotto[]
Unlike the Leech twins, Lilia doesn't have a flattering view of Azul. He calls him a cheater, but not to worry too much about him as he claims Azul knows better than to make Diasmonia an enemy.
His antagonism towards Azul could come from Book 2, knowing full well of his involvement in Leona's plan. When Azul and the Leech twins show up at the farewell party in Book 7 with a plate of fish and dessert, Lilia declares that they are now equal "for the time he helped the lion cub and his accomplice at the tournament of Spelldrive". Azul pretends not to understand the insinuation, but shows a hint of discomfort.
Jade Leech[]
So far Lilia and Jade have shown, on the surface, a friendly and supportive relationship, especially in their culinary adventures.
During Port Fest, Jade is the only one amused by Lilia's attempts to prepare dishes and sell them, unlike her companions. During Camp Vargas, Lilia cheers for Jade. During the shared Master Chef course, Jade's seen doing the same to Lilia with his arbitrary changes made to the original recipe.
Despite this, Lilia claims that he would prefer Floyd as a younger brother as he considers Jade subtle and indirect and would not go as far as communicating with him in a fight, unlike Floyd.
Floyd Leech[]
Lilia likes Floyd, claiming that he appreciates his outspokenness to challenge those whose strength he recognizes. In the Stitch event Lilia tries to get Floyd to join her team, but he is immediately forbidden by Jack and Riddle knowing full well how dangerous the two result together.
During Beanfest, Floyd pretends to be a team player to try to confront Lilia, where the boy eventually succeeds in his goal of capturing him.
At Lilia's farewell party in the Book 7, Floyd says that although they have rarely spoken to each other outside of school events, he hopes one day they can have “an epic challenge,” since Silver had told him how strong was. Lilia regrets not being able to put him in his place, and Floyd decides to let it slide.
Scarabia[]
Kalim Al-Asim[]
Lilia and Kalim have a friendly and deep relationship, which is often seen in them joking and laughing together. They are both part of the Pop Music club, and it was Lilia who taught Kalim how to play the drums.
Several times in the course of events, Kalim showed his more genuine and generous side toward Lilia: after CHARON's attack in Book 6, for example, Kalim makes sure to call Lilia to hear from his. At Jamil's hands, Kalim makes sure to give Lilia a parting gift during the farewell party in Book 7.
Jamil Viper[]
They demonstrated polite interactions, especially on Jamil's part, as Kalim considers Lilia a friend.
During Beanfest, Lilia is often seen giving advice to Jamil but the boy shows unwillingness to interact with him, as he does not understand when he is joking or not.
During his farewell party, on the other hand, Jamil gives him a business card with a direct link to the Asim family's concierge service that ensures that he is well taken care of everywhere in the country.
Pomefiore[]
Vil Schoenheit[]
Lilia has been friendly with Vil, often teasing him with jokes and nonsense to the extent that the boy does not take him seriously even when he claims the truth.
Vil considers Lilia a person who does not bother to make any special effort in anything.
Despite his unflattering view, however, Vil tries to investigate at all costs why neither his grades nor Lilia's skin is affected by nights spent playing video games.[3]
This event is, probably, related to Lilia's farewell party in Book 7.
In Birthday Jacket, Lilia excludes Vil as a potential younger brother because he is too undemanding, to the point of being boring.[4]
Epel Felmier[]
Lilia has shown kindness to Epel once, helping him in a confrontation with three other students who were trying to steal the rare flowers Epel had carefully prepared for a Crewel's class. Lilia also shares a number of tips for winning fights as they're both on the shorter side, and Epel even asks Lilia if he would be willing to teach him some martial arts.[5]
At the farewell party in Book 7, Lilia says Epel behaved with dignity and looked great at the SDC, as well as encouraging him to do his best in the future, no matter his physical size.
Ignihyde[]
Idia Shroud[]
Lilia doesn't seem too fond of Idia, stating in Phantom Bride that, because Idia is the person they will have to save, feels he is losing motivation. Idia isn't fond of Lilia either, refusing to attend his farewell party claiming that they aren't friends, have no good memories and have no reason to be sad about his departure.
Neither of them realized that they have been online friends for two years under the nicknames Gloomurai (Idia) and Muscle Red (Lilia). Idia calling Muscle Red his “one and only trusted companion.” In Book 7, Idia weeps openly at the news that Muscle Red (Lilia) would retire from video games.
Ortho Shroud[]
Although he dislikes his older brother, Lilia likes Ortho and always treats him kindly. Ortho, after all, has tried several times to push him and other characters to befriend Idia, especially knowing that Lilia plays video games.
Just like his brother and Lilia, Ortho is unaware of Lilia's online identity as Muscle Red.
Diasomnia[]
Malleus Draconia[]
Lilia and Malleus have known each other for a very long time, to the point that Lilia herself says that saying he knew him as a child "is not enough to describe the duration of their acquaintance" and that he has watched over him "since he was brushing the eggshell off his head". Both statements which are found to be the truth in Book 7.
For this reason, Lilia has a deep affection towards him and takes the utmost care of Malleus, besides his status as crown prince. When Malleus was a child, in fact, Lilia sang bedtime songs to him, and read stories and fairy tales before he went to bed.
As a child Malleus often threw tantrums, breaking rocks with lightning, and it is implied that Lilia's job was to try to calm him down.
Having raised Malleus, Lilia taught him many things. For example, singing, playing stringed instruments, teaching him the differences between humans and Fae, giving him educational books about the world and teaching guides, but also how to use the modern tools of daily life such as electronic devices and the telephone (with poor results at the moment).
Because of his sheltered and very isolated climate, as well as because of his intimidating figure, Lilia often tries to take advantage of Malleus's rare opportunity to be outside Briar Valley to expand his horizons, inviting him to participate in various events such as the Firelit Sky, the VDC audition, encouraging him to intern and attend and perform at the NBC social event.
He also wants other students like Ruggie to be more "intimate" with Malleus instead of fearing him.
Lilia often mediates for Malleus, not only as a Vice and performing his duties (and vice versa), but also in social relationships. However, despite Lilia being his guardian, Malleus's very overprotective with him. In Lilia's physical education vignette, Malleus is seen throwing a ball at Rook and almost cutting off his nose, only because he suspected that the boy was targeting Lilia. [6]
Silver[]
Silver is Lilia's adopted son. The two spent Silver's entire childhood living in a cottage in the woods together. Their isolation led to Lilia recreating human experiences for Silver, like having Silver circle their house, collect candy from Lilia, before circling around once again. This repeated until Lilia was out of candy.
Silver has the highest esteem and love for his father for caring for him, and Lilia seems to appreciate his adopted son in the same way. Along with Sebek, Silver was trained by Lilia.
Having never, however, had or cared for a child Lilia found considerable difficulty in raising the boy. Not knowing what human infants ate or why he cried so much, Lilia often relied on Baur's human son-in-law or the Zigvolt family for advice. Lilia made several mistakes while raising Silver, including Silver wandering off as a baby, feeding him milk from a mug, and using towel drying his roughly.
The Zigvolt family was involved in caring for Silver and frequently babysat him. Lilia appreciated Sebek's family's honest question over whether he was fit to raise Silver.[7] Disconcerted, Sebek says he's surprised that Silver got out of it safely. Silver himself is grateful that he is still alive. Later, after another terrible demonstration of Lilia taking care of the little bat, Sebek claims to respect Silver for the first time in his life.[8]
Sebek Zigvolt[]
Being a neighbor, Lilia knows the Zigvolt family very well and was often their guest when Silver was a child. The Fae tended to visit them often to ask the son-in-law of Baur, Sebek's human father, for advice on how to raise their human son. Along with Silver, Sebek was trained by Lilia.
The latter recounts that at first he maintained a harsh training regimen with the two children, but eventually realized that there was no point in raising them as soldiers. He later decided to take a similar approach to “child rearing,” giving them the freedom to play while he watched over them from the shadows.
However, years earlier, he did not shy away from abandoning Sebek and Silver for a week on an unfamiliar mountain, just to help them gain experience in unexpected situations.[9]
According to Lilia Sebek is a lovely boy, but he is also overprotective and describes him as someone who demands a lot from himself and others. However, he is unable to adapt to others, although he is a calm and intelligent boy when Malleus is not involved.
Sebek's conviction is a powerful thing, he adds, and he would like his classmates to be able to appreciate it, but he does not want to interfere in the learning process and that he will just see how the situation develops.
Eventually in Book 7 Lilia intervenes, asking Ace and Deuce for intervention if they ever notice that Sebek is stuck. Although Sebek appreciates Lilia's consideration, the boy forcefully refuses to bond with them.
Others[]
Maleanor Draconia[]
Lilia has known Maleanor since they were younger. He used to have a crush on Maleanor having once proposed to her when they were children, always having to clean up her messes and put up with her antics and demands calling her scary princess without even being afraid of what she might do to him if he ever made her angry. He is able to complain about her to her face without any fear of repercussion.
Despite this he cares about Maleanor, Lilia grieved her death for many centuries to the point that he was too heartbroken to take care of her egg.
Raverne[]
Lilia is childhood friends with Malleus's parents, he loved both Raverne in the past like he loved Maleanor who spent time working for him but much like with Maleanor he had to clean up his messes when he was younger.
Despite his disappearance (and presumed death), Lilia waited vainly for him to return home with all his might. In his heart, in fact, he hoped that Raverne had survived and only remained imprisoned somewhere in the enemy camp.
Despite the tense relationship between humans and fae, Raverne was a rare case of a fae that is open-minded and willing to consider other races. Of relative merit is having saved Lilia’s invite to NRC and encouraging him to go there to study, as well as teaching Lilia the human common tongue.
