But they were just sprucin' up the joint for Founding Day. They were all so excited, it was like watchin' a buncha kiddies on a sugar high. |

...I GUESS. All the noise drove me up the wall, though. At least they managed to pull it together, thanks to my steady guiding paw. Can you believe Ace? He chose to be here, and he STILL tried to slack off. And that ain't the only stunt he's pulled lately! |

Oh, c'mon! Didn't you see him prank me in flight class yesterday?! He used his wind magic to tickle me when I was tryin' to fly on my broom. The nerve of that guy! He's just jealous of my magical talent. I'll show him who's boss one of these days! Now, Deuce put in a good effort decoratin', but he hung up the letters in the wrong order. He's just as bad as Ace. You know, recently he gave me an answer to something on our homework, and it was so wrong, Crewel nearly yelled our ears off. Then me an' Deuce had to take an extra class. He's really gotta study up more. |

Grk... Hey, I've been takin' my classes seriously lately! But in History of Magic, I got Jack sittin' right in front of me. How'm I supposed to see the blackboard?! The guy's already big, but then he sits up even taller to keep workin' on his back muscles. I tried to talk to him about it, but all he said was that I should sit on your shoulder. He never stops workin' out! I'll bet it's no picnic for Epel either, bein' in the same class as Jack. |

...Then again, Epel'd probably snap back without battin' an eye. He might even start a fight. He's got guts AND a competitive streak. Just the other day, we snuck a little extra food onto our trays in the cafeteria! We promised each other it'd be our secret... Ahhh, good times… ...Oh, crud! I just told you! Speakin' of sneakin' food, would you believe Sebek?! That dude's head is harder than a rock! There's no reasonin' with him! One time I swiped a TEENSY bit of his lunch just to try it, and he chased after me, hollerin' the whole time! He just kept comin'! And all that shoutin' gave me an earache. All I did was take one little bite of his grilled cheese sandwich... Well, maybe more like five. Or ten? |

I will say, I'm startin' to get the hang of things here at Ramshackle. We're doin' pretty well in this run-down little place. That recent downpour was a real doozy, huh? Our beds and blankets were soaked. I thought we'd have to sleep on the floor. Good thing we have that couch! It was cramped, but it still beat the cold, hard ground. The ghosts helped us patch the roof, but one of these days we gotta get the school to pony up some money for renovations! |
