Trivia
- The first part of the name Diasomnia may refer to diablo, the Spanish word for "demon", and the name of Maleficent's pet crow in the film Sleeping Beauty (1959). It may also come from the Latin prefix dia, meaning "throughout" or "across", perhaps relating to the broad magical talents of the dorm's students. The second part, somnia, is Latin for "dreams." Somnia may also bring to mind insomnia, a well-known sleeping disorder.
- Diasomnia's crest depicts Maleficent's dragon form. At the bottom, there is a small teaser of her infamous spinning wheel, and an image of her horns protrude from the top of the crest.
