Diasomnia Dorm - Lounge

Pardon me for cutting into your chat, Monsieur Curiosité. Monsieur Crocodile.
I simply must thank you for inviting us to your bon voyage celebration this eve.

I'm glad you both made it. You're a credit to Pomefiore and all the Fairest Queen's adherents there.
Your presence alone will add a little spice to this shindig.

Lilia, I'm going to cut straight to the point.
Is there nothing that can be done?

About what?

About you losing your magic and leaving this school.
I turned wrinkled and gray after exhausting my magical energy in the Underworld...
But Malleus shared his own with me.
And now I'm back to living my life as usual.
Couldn't he do the same thing for you?

Remember, Malleus also told you that he can't turn back time.
You lost your magic due to external factors, but that isn't what's happened to me.

What do you mean?

I've simply gotten old.

Old? I thought you were 18, the same as us.

Oh no, I'm going on 700.
SEVEN HUNDRED?!

'NOT SO LOUD, HUMANS!
Lilia is a fae, and the fae are long-lived. How is this so shocking to you?

Well, I mean... I've been treating him as a peer this whole time.
Anyone would be shocked to suddenly find out a person was 700 years old!

My goodness, Monsieur Curiosité.
I've often thought your remarks were unusually sagacious for an 18-year-old...
But I never imagined you'd had so much more life experience than us.

Khee hee hee. I may have understated my age a tad.

Plenty of people in the entertainment industry obfuscate their real age, but even there, a 680-year difference would be unheard-of!

Is the Roi des Dragons just as old...?

Oh, no. He's far younger. Still a bit older than the rest of you, but nonetheless...
The Draconias are descended from dragons. They're especially long-lived, even for fae.
They're children at 200 and still youthful at 500... Only around the age of 1,000 do they fully mature.

Ah, ça alors! I'd heard the fae lived a long time, but I never imagined it was on that scale...

I'm told that my own family tends to live for about a millennium...
But I may have overdone it a bit in my younger days. My age is catching up to me sooner than I expected.

What do you mean, overdone it?

Oh, you know how it is. Everyone does a bit of mischief in their youth.

Don't call it mischief, sir!
My grandfather told me how many times you laid your life on the line for Briar Valley when you were young.

Must Baur tell the same stories with every passing century? Yammering about the good old days is the fastest way to make young'uns' eyes glaze over.
While I got up to a considerable amount of mischief in my younger, more reckless days...
I've gotten big into online gaming these past two years, and have consistently stayed up all night binge-gaming, despite my age.
That might actually be the least prudent thing I've done.
Take it from me, boys—be moderate in your gaming. Hah hah hah!

You really take the cake. You'd better exhibit a little more self-control moving forward.
...Heh heh.
It's strange. Even after learning your true age, you're still the same old Lilia in my mind.

I couldn't agree more.
It goes to show that age has little to do with all the youthful adventures we've shared.

What a lovely thing to say.
Vil. Rook. I hope you both thoroughly enjoy the party tonight.

Oui, Monsieur Curiosité!

Indeed, we'll enjoy it to the very end.
