Make way! Coming through! Make way for Mr. Viper!
*Kalim, Ortho, and Grim move out of the way*
Guard A
Why are YOU making way, Kalim? Take this parasol and join the procession!
Don’t just stand there, you ninny!

Huh?! Um, okay!
*Kalim runs off*

Kalim went off to join the parade!

All right, let's follow it too!

Scalding Sands - Jahar Sahir College

The parade's come to a halt. This must be where we were heading.

Phew... That was quite a long march. I daresay it crossed from one end of the city to the other.

This looks similar to the school from Kalim's dream, but there are a few differences.
The fountain has a different statue. The building's a different color.

No kiddin'. It was a round old man in Kalim's dream... Hm?

No kiddin'. And the fountain's got a statue of someone else now.

Ain't this the same guy as one of the statues on Night Raven College's Main Street?
He's striking a different pose, but it does seem to be the Sorcerer of the Sands.
It's like he's swinging a golf club. And he's got a way more gleeful look on his face than he does at our school…

This might be a depiction of when the Sorcerer of the Sands used his staff to banish a charlatan.
I think I saw this pose in a picture book I read as a kid.
Kalim! Where are you?!

Oh, I’m right here! Hello!

Don’t give me that! How can you loaf around without looking after your boss...? Wait.

What’s with that outfit? Did you botch your color-changing magic again?

Huh? I didn't botch this. It's supposed to look like the Ruler of the Oasis. Cool, right?

The Jahar Sahir College uniform uses traditional red and black colors like what the illustrious Sorcerer of the Sands wore.
What were you thinking, bleaching them to your whims? The nerve.
*Jamil uses his magic*

Ooh, the colors changed! These are pretty nice too, actually. Thanks, Jamil!

I think you mean to say, "Thank you, Mr. Viper, sir."

Honestly... You’ll never let go of that pampered rich boy demeanor, will you?
Look. The Asim family owes the Viper family more money than you could pay off with a lifetime’s worth of work.
So you should try to make yourself at least a LITTLE useful to me.

Kalim, I think Jamil’s mistaken you for an NPC...
That is, he thinks you’re the Kalim that exists in the dream.
You should play along and get more info from him!

Sure, I can do that!

By the way, who are you people?
Jahar Sahir College isn't open for the general public to just waltz in.

We're from Night Raven College, an arcane academy on Sage's Island.

Ah, yes. That school has quite the illustrious history. What brings you here?

We're part of our school's Film Research Club. We came to Silk City for filming...

But we've heard so much about this school, we simply had to visit for ourselves.
We were looking for the reception office, but we were so distracted by the magnificent architecture, we wound up lost.

Then Kalim spotted us and approached us. Right?

Is that right? Hmm...
*Jamil pauses, thinking*

I suppose there's nothing strange about that.

Considering their shabby attire and vapid expressions,I'm sure they're simply students.

Hey, I heard that!

Oh dear, I beg your pardon. I let my inner voice slip out there... Ahem.
As the student council president, I would be a far more fitting person to show you around campus than Kalim..

Oh, truly? How fortunate for us to receive hospitality straight from the student council president himself.

I wouldn't want Kalim giving them the impression that our students are subpar.

Personally, I'm quite interested in hearing about the arcane academy you're from.

If I'm not mistaken...
...Night Raven College is in possession of an extremely rare and prized magical artifact called the Dark Mirror, yes?

It does. You're quite knowledgeable.

The Scalding Sands has long been a flourishing producer of magical artifacts, so we have a great many legends about them.

There's the Magic Flying Carpet, the Great Serpent Staff, the Hourglass of Clairvoyance... And the Magic Lamp.
And legend has it the Sorcerer of the Sands, our school's most emblematic figure, employed such artifacts in his great deeds.

Even now, people still uncover ancient artifacts in the desert ruins surrounding Silk City.
Perhaps that's why our school has no shortage of students interested in them—myself included.

In fact, my family's treasury is bursting with artifacts collected from all over the world.
I'd love to hear more about the ones housed at your school.

Ooh, wow! You're the student council president, huh? That's great, Jamil!

Why are you acting like this is the first you've heard of it?! You GO to this school.
Now stop standing around and prepare a proper reception for our guests.

Whoops! Right, I'm supposed to work for Jamil.

Okay, a proper reception means a party, right? I got this!
