They appear to have a good teacher-student relationship, having demonstrated a certain degree of care towards MC. Vargas has never seen Crowley without his mask and encourages MC to ask him to take it off, even if they fail. According to him, Crowley is indeed a good-natured guy.[1]
He's shown to be concerned that MC and Grim are living in the Ramshackle dorm, but only because he doesn't think it is a good place to train.[2]
Grim[]
Vargas seems to like Grim who, on the contrary, doesn't seem to tolerate his personality very much. In fact, he thinks that Grim should join the Speedrive Club, praising his agility but criticizing his lack of toughness.[3]
He has a comment showing concern for him and MC living in the Ramshackle dormitory, but for the simple fact that they would never be able to train well there.[4]

Dire Crowley[]
The two have a positive relationship, although Crowley admitted that his excessive enthusiasm sometimes discourages him. Vargas has never seen Crowley without a mask and encourages MC to politely ask him to do so, even if they fail. According to him, Crowley is a "good-natured boy".
He seems to be taking into consideration Vargas's suggestion that they strength the students' muscles by changing the fabric of their uniforms into something much heavier.[5]
Divus Crewel[]
The two seem to get along quite well. Although Vargas has criticized Crewel's expensive and impractical way of dressing and doesn't like how little the other considers muscles to be important.
Mozus Trein[]
He and Trein have opposite personalities, but he considers him a good teacher despite being a little too strict. He is often scolded by Trein.
They are from the same hometown.
Sam[]
He considers Sam a successful entrepreneur, a good fortune teller and pianist.
